The RnRoller Coaster was really fun. The lack of a really fast and
high hill to descend from was a plus.

Morning commute

Caught the monorail at our resort over to Magic Kingdom. Caught the
Disney bus to the Disney Beach and Yacht Club for breakfast. It's
drizzling this morning. Expected to be sunny by lunch. The downpour
yesterday was a blessing. It gave us a much needed break as well as
refreshing us.

On Carson's Wish List

Stopped by the gift shop before going to the room.

The Evil Stepmother

Cinderella had the evil stepmother. Well, she made her presence felt at the Grand Floridian. After making her rounds to all kids and adults, she passed by and paid particularly close attention to Carson and Ryder. She told Carson not to eat another bite of roll until he ate some veggies. The his mouth fell wide open. Ryder was told that he was old enough to act appropriately and he should do so. Some time passed as we waited on our bill. The evil one was making another round. Meanwhile Ryder was picking at Carson and appeared refreshed from the day. As she approached from a behind but facing JA and I. Noticing Ryder's behavior she spoke up loudly and said "Ryder, I want you to come here". This was after making eye contact to ensure it was ok. He sat up looked straight and looked at his mommie and me with a smirk. She walked him over one table to the corner. By now all surrounding tables and watching closely. She has him place his nose in the corner. He is taking it somewhat serious but does chuckle several times. They now think she is watching them. She was fantastic. The wide-eyed look was almost evil. She had all kids full attention. Cinderella, the Prince and the like made their rounds but none even came close to the impression she made. We will remember many years from now.

Can you say chocolate?

Key lime tarts, lemon tart, brownie, some other tart, and choc
mousse. The two small ones in the back...that's the ones. They
appear to have a wrapper similar to cupcakes but no. It's all
chocolate. Brownies rounded it out. After trying one, Carson said “Daddy your brownies are much better”. I agreed. It's in the cooking time. That's the secret.

Strawberry Soup?

C&R had the usual with a twist, they had pizza with chicken legs on
the side. JA had sliced roast beef, potatoes, and steamed veggies. I
had roasted chicken something I can't pronounce, beans, potatoes,
grilled veggie salad and yes - Strawberry Soup. One more good meal.
The soup tasted like fresh strawberries ground up. Lol. It it but it
was really thick.

The Wild Kingdom

To sum up the day at Animal Kingdom
Dinoland
Primevil Twirl
Expedition Everest
It’s Tough to be a Bug
Lion King Show
Kilaminjara Safari
Missed – Nemo and Kali River Rapids

This was a tough day. We were all tired and grumpy. Dr. Biggers told JA that by the fourth day we wouldn’t like each other and would be at the pool. It happened to us on the third day. We weren’t real happy with one another. The pool part didn’t happen but we did get wet. It rained. By three o’clock we were in line to catch the bus back to the Contemporary. Suzanne said Stacy caught the bus before the rain and boy did he have a surprise. Thank goodness it was minor…the bus ran off in a ditch. Needless to say he was upset once he realized all was well.

Back at the room we took it easy and I caught a short knap. Helped me out tremendously but nearly made us late for our reservation at the Grand Floridian. JA was washing clothes downstairs and I was suppose to be getting the kids ready. Well…..I had a short knap instead. It happens and I needed it desperately.

If any of you need help packing let me know. Yesterday I got sunburned and we had ponchos in our pack and no sunscreen. Today we got wet and had sunscreen with no ponchos.

What's for Lunch?

You guessed it! Pizza at Pizzafari. JA and I had Caesar Salad with
chicken, water, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Boys had cookies.

We Survived!

The crew hit Dinoland while I secured a FP for Expedition Everest.
While waiting for our FP time, we rode Primevil Twirl. We loved
Everest. When the coaster runs backwards... It's intense.

Morning with Lilo & Stitch

We caught the monorail to the Polynesian for breakfast. They brought
us a huge dish of breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage links, biscuits,
Mickey waffles, and eggs. Fresh fruit was pineapple, watermelon,
cantelope, grapes, etc. Guava, a Hawaiian juice was served. LILO and
Stitch signed our autograph books as all the characters have.
Hawaiian Mickey and Goofy passed thru as well. We are now on our way
to the Animal Kingdom.

Supper at the Crystal Palace (Dinner if you are politically correct)

Saturday we had supper at the Crystal Palace. Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Donkey dropped by.
We saw Stacey, Suzanne and crew as they had booked the same time. It was a buffet styled supper. So many things to choose from. Ryder chose..you’ll never guess. Pizza. Carson had boiled shrimp, clams, rolls, macaroni and cheese with chocoloate soft server ice cream for dessert. He also had some cake/pudding dish, chocolate of course. Jane Anna chose Prime Rib and Pasta. I had a variety with Mediterranean salad, steamed broccoli (little), ratatouille, salmon, pulled pork and rotisserie chicken. For dessert I gathered several items for Jane Anna and I to try. This included apple cobbler, banana bread pudding with almond cream, passion fruit blueberry tarts, and key lime pie. They were all really good but it’s difficult to beat the key lime pie. Fortunately for us we had the meal plan. Our bill was $107 before tip. This meal costs us one meal from our plan. Good deal. I forgot to mention Ryder even tried a clam and liked it.
We hit Magic Kingdom wide open today. We started early and stayed late. Just got out of there before the fireworks started good. Kids were on the verge of a meltdown and it would not have been pretty. They did wonderful today. They walked a lot and didn't complain until later in the evening. The rides listed are not in order but I'm feeling it myself and I'm ready to go to sleep.

multiplied.

Carson and Ryder had their second favorite, chicken nuggets and

Fastpass (FP) for Splash Mt. Meanwhile the crew(JA,CC,RC) headed for

just inside the gate waiting for MK to open.

Character Breakfast

The boys loved getting autographs in Birnbaum's Guide to Disney. It
was a hit. Now off to Magic Kingdom.

Breakfast

Southwestern style breakfast quiche, eggs, potatoes, watermelon, etc.
Delicious!

Startin' the Day

Started off this morning by checking out the Olympiad Fitness Center.
It has free weights, treadmills, elipticals, etc. Got a good workout
in before heading back to the room to wake the family. Our character
breakfast was scheduled for 7:05ET (6CT).

Magic Kingdom

By 2:30pm we made via Monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Our sites were set on Fantasyland for this half day adventure. We were able to ride

Snowhite - 15 min wait
Peter Pan - 45 min wait (Ryder's second favorite)
Winnie the Pooh - 5 min w/fast pass
Tea Cups - 10 min wait (Ryder's favorite)
It's a Small World - 20 min wait
Mickey's Philharmagic - 15 min wait
Haunted Mansion - 20 min wait (Carson's favorite)
seemed to be a lull from 5:30- 7:00 (supper time)

though not necessarily in that order. We hustled to the Monorail to make our way to the Polynesian Village for the Lou Ahl. It was indoors but had really good entertainment with grass skirts shaking around and other dancing/singing. We ate like pigs. Ribs, roasted chicken, rice, steamed veggies, salad, fresh pineapple and chocolate mousse for deeeeezert. By 9pm we were all draggin'. One hour earlier in the day all four of us were ready for mutiny. Somehow we overcame, with a Sprite and chocolate chip cookie supplying the energy, the fatigue and forged ahead. Carson and Ryder were really good. Bowing out of the entertainment a bit early, we arrived in our room to find our luggage had been delivered as promised. Showers and a quick review of the day and it has time for some shuteye. We walked a ton it seemed and other than that hour I mentioned all went well. One last thing, Carson and Ryder did see a pretty cool light show on the lake from the balcony just before bedtime. I may get a video clip or two on tomorrow....we'll see.

Contempo Cafe

No matter where we eat pizza is the number one choice. Carson and
Ryder ate pizza, apple sauce and a cookie. Jane Anna had a large
sandwich, bean salad and a huge cupcake for dessert. In the picture
you can see my chuck burger, bean salad with soft serve chocolate
following.

View from our balcony

Bay Lake Tower
It's sunny and 72.
We just arrived at Bay Lake Tower (Contemporary)

Disney Express

Disney World here we come. The Disney Express is awaiting on B42.
Distinct difference from the rest of the airport. Lots of Disney
workers to check you in and guide you to the appropriate bus. We are
rolling towards the Contemporary Resort.

Ready for takeoff

Gossip! Gossip!

Mary Jo (mimi) is catching up on the latest.

Memphis International Airport

We didn't leave the house until 4am but made it safely to the
airport. The usual security standards applied. Shoes off, belt off,
jacket off, and so on. Ryder asked if we had to take our underwear
off. Thank goodness no. Breakfast filled our tummies and socked our
wallets. The natives, Sara, Riley, Cailin, Carson and Ryder are now
settled in at Gate B40 awaiting our 8:45 flight to Orlando. Carson
has been constantly checking to ensure we have not missed our plane.

Ready to go

Rise and Shine

I woke up at 1:35am and could not go back to sleep. I know I'll be missing that extra hour and a half come 5 or 6 am. We laid down last night just after eight but Carson and Ryder had some serious nervous energy and didn't calm down until after nine. We will be loading up last minute items into our carry-ons like cell phone chargers, Nintendo DS's, and other then loading those into Jane Anna's car. Planning on hitting the road at 3:30am to ensure we have plenty of time to get to the airport and get through security. We are going to follow Suzanne and Stacy to her aunt's about 15 minutes from the airport where they will so generously drive us and our two vehicles to the airport, drop us off, and return our vehicles to their house. Say a little prayer for us as we fly South around 8:30am.
